So, you've been researching marketing techniques and strategies (probably researching more than you'd like to admit), and you're still unsure where to start? Not to fret... you're not alone! That's why the world invented marketing consultants... we're here to help! You've already got enough on your plate, and we are more than happy to lean in and partner with you to develop a strategy that works!

I've got an M.B.A. in marketing and STILL find myself researching the field to stay up-to-date on the ever-evolving landscape. The difference? It's my job to sort out these changes and it's your job to get your products and/or services out to your adoring public!

Here are the top four reasons small business leaders, just like you, reach out to marketing consultants (hint: like me) for help!

Outside perspective

This is perhaps the most popular reason business leaders hire a marketing consultant. Even larger firms who have a whole marketing team at their disposal will turn to consultants to get a fresh set of eyes on their products and/or services. Let's face it, bias is alive and well, but hiring an outside third-party to manage your marketing strategy or help you get your SEO or social strategy off the ground, will give you a fresh perspective.

Short-term commitment

Small businesses often don't have the budget to hire a marketer full-time, and one of the biggest benefits of hiring a consultant is that you are only committed for the short-term. I have plenty of bespoke options and short-term contracts available. This saves you money (yay!) and prevents you from having to have that awkward "It's not you, it's me" conversation with a full-time employee.

Saves time

Hiring a marketing consultant allows you to spend less time focusing on logistics and more time taking action. This frees up your time so you can address problems faster and tackle smaller issues before they become bigger problems that inevitably require additional resources that you don’t have.

Increases accountability

It’s easy for business owners to lose focus and veer off-course. Often, this is the result of a lack of accountability. When accountability dissipates, the ability to act autonomously often clouds judgment and decision making. Consultants act as an unofficial accountability partner. Consultants establish meetings, set goals, and provide objectives that must be satisfied by certain dates and/or checkpoints.
